Before you call anybody
You Might Not Need The Whole Thing Rescreened
Sometimes it is two panels and a torn corner. Sometimes the whole cage is brittle and there is no sense doing it twice. Here is how to tell which one you have got — and no, we are not going to sell you the big number if you do not need it.
Push on a panel. Does it feel like paper?
Screen goes brittle from UV long before it looks bad. If a light push feels crunchy or leaves a dent, that panel is done — and the ones either side of it are not far behind.
Are the screws rusting?
Rust streaks running down your frame mean the fasteners are giving up. Rescreening around failing screws is money you spend twice.
Is it always the same panel?
One panel that keeps letting go usually is not the screen’s fault. It is tension, a bent spline channel, or something rubbing. Worth finding before you pay to redo it.
Getting no-see-ums through it?
The cheap 18×14 fiberglass most cages get built with will not stop them — that is not a defect, that is the wrong screen for where you live. Ours is not that. We install HD Screen from Super Screen as standard: a polymer core instead of fiberglass, anti-fungal treated, five-year warranty. And if no-see-ums are your particular problem there is a 20×20 weave made for exactly that.
Half the rescreens we quote turn out smaller than the homeowner feared. Those are our favourite calls to make.

Frequently Asked Questions in Southwest Florida
How much does pool cage rescreening cost in Fort Myers or Cape Coral?
Rescreen pricing depends on cage size and screen type. Call or submit a form for a free on-site estimate — we typically respond within a few hours.
What's the difference between standard and no-see-um screen?
Standard screen is 18×14 mesh — good airflow and bug protection. No-see-um is 20×20 — finer weave that keeps out sand flies. Popular in coastal and inland SWFL areas.
How long does rescreening a pool cage take?
Most full rescreens are completed in 1 day. Larger cages may take 2 days. We confirm timeline during your free estimate.
Do I need a permit for a pool cage rescreen in Southwest Florida?
Typically no permit is required for a straight screen replacement on an existing permitted structure. Structural changes or frame repairs may require permits.
